The Butterfly Circus: Nick Vujicic

My new favourite book. After my finals!

If you have read my previous post, you would be familiar with him.
Yes, he's my new hero - Nick Vujicic.

In the midst of this crazy preparation for finals (my hard work better pay off!), the delivery man came and it totally my day.
If flew all the way from Australia and tada - Nick Vujicic collections - ranging from DVDs, to books, and a shirt (Never Give Up! - Definitely something I need quite badly now).

I have watched The Butterfly Circus and I really love the cast.
Butterflies were once a caterpillars.

You are a failure, a no good, only because you believe in it.
As unbelievable as it sounds, and even harder to convince ourselves to think this way, we don't have to let others voices dictate who we are. We are who we think we are.

A truly inspiring short film and I enjoyed every minute of the cast. Even though it's heart wrenching, it brings me strength and I'm motivated once again. Motivation doesn't last, and so we need to feed ourselves with one - even so daily!

I managed to find this short film on youtube. If you enjoyed the film as much as I did, please support and get the original one here: http://thebutterflycircus.com/store/

Go grab a good coffee and enjoy your night with one of the most beautiful film: The Butterfly Circus!

What else have you learned/been inspired from this short film? :D

Roma's Deli Vegetarian - Bugis & Ah Boys to Men 2

I went a date with my cousin, Yue Shi for the first time as our initial plans with other cousins were being cancelled.

Managed to met Ron in the noon before he flew off the next day. And I just came to realised we went to the same school, same course. I'm like walking the same path, after him. LOL.
From same PSLE score, to AJC, then NUS FASS.
Albeit we aren't taking the same major.

Yue Shi was really disappointed that morning as we had to cancel our initial plans. And so, I agreed to accompany her out because PSLE is coming soon and she would not be able to afford time for outing.
#singaporean'sfate.

We first went for a movie at Suntec City.
Suntec is currently under some minor renovation and we had to take a big turn to enter. Damn.

We watched Ah Boys to Men 2; something that I have been craving for so long. :)
I'm always a big fan of Jack Neo's movie; or rather, I am a big fan of local talents. :D

And I love movies like this, where you e the characters in the movie grow, for better.
My favourite actor wuld be Lobang - 王伟良
It is not that I have a thing for "bad guys" who are full of nonsense and crazy ideas, but the fact that he is a loyal one. Loyalty is a plus plus point! <3
Like I have shared in SW tutorial, I rather Tord doing the wrong thing than Gregory not doing anything at all!

Jack Neo just shared the news that there will be Ah Boys to Men 3. Kudoos! I just hope that it is still a as fun one :)
They have all been posted to different places ald. So I'm not too sure if they are shifting focus to a new batch of people or whatsoever. In any case, I'm looking forward to it. :D

Yue Shi was craving for Roma Deli's baked rice, and so, we headed there next for dinner.

My expectations were high, and it is located in the food paradise. This place is located in the Shaw Towers, opposite Suntec City.

Roma's Deli Vegetarian Location: #01-23, 100 Beach Road
Shaw Towers Contact: 62934585
Opening Hours: Daily 11:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.

We ordered a set meal, served with mushroom soup, a drink, garlic bread and a main course.
The set meal cost only $11.00 and I felt that it is really worth the price.

Yet, I felt the meal was quite a disappointment.
The mushroom soup was rather blend, no aroma.
And the bread, it was just rough and hard.

I ordered the Bacon Mushroom Baked Rice.
The bacon was just tasteless mock meat, and it was bad.

I barely finished half of it. :(
Maybe I'm a little too picky when it comes to Italian Food - Yes, I'm quite a big fan of it.

If you have yet to be there, you should.
The price is considered fairly cheap!
Well, my subjective preference may differ quite a lot from many.
So do let me know your feedback or other must try dishes if you are heading there. :)

Sem 1 Coming to an End!

Oh my, semester one's coming to an end! How fast!
I could still remember clearly how excited I was for the first lecture, along with Xing Jun.
Yup, I sticked to her ever since :)

Then we will always treat ourselves to good food when we are having Monday Blues or get the TGIF mood!
Managed to meet LahLah for an ice cream date a week or so ago! And I was so happy that day because  she finally admitted to me how much she loves her boy. Awww!

And after decades, I managed to meet this boy. Yes KKH, after mia from me for so so long!
Good chat up session plus his treat, YAY. (Because he was late :O)

Dragged myself out to study on a weekend with Eunice; a fruitful one! Decided to get a Starbucks card too, so pretty with a Christmas Tree. Gonna study with her again this Saturday! :D

My fellow World Religion Mates. They are cool people, smart and nice! :D

Not forgetting my beloved Social Work team!

Worked hard together and we achieved a B+ for our project. So so proud of them, of us! :D Shall meet up soon beauties!

Semester 1 has been a delight for me; I have all the nicest people and of course, keeping in contact with my loved ones.
Although daddy's health have yet to improve much, plus all the papers for FASS are driving me crazy (not to mention I'm one in the first place ald); I'm glad I have pulled through Sem1.

I love sem one because of all these awesome people. :D
Days ahead, please be as good!

Heading out to study with Nickie, before a movie to reward myself tonight.
With Jia Min :)

Will be back soon with movies review - including "Ah Boys to Men", watched it with Joshua on Monday.
& to end off,

CONGRATULATION JOSHUA TEO FOR PASSING YOUR DRIVING TEST!
