Saladworks @ JEM

SaladWorks

JEM #02-19
50 Jurong Gateway Road, Singapore 608549
Contact No: 6225 5536

Although there isn't any crowd when I was there (or almost nobody), I guess it's not because they dont have that reputation. In fact, Saladworks offers a "fanatically fresh" menu of America's Best Salads, great wraps, soups, and fusion and panini sandwiches.

Perhaps, Singaporeans still prefer Hawker/Foodcourt food? Okay, I'm saying that for myself!

You can choose to customise your own salad to control calories in take.

I felt that the whole building was too cold in general; I was shivering throughout the meal.

There is so much fibre for that meal I felt that I was too healthy; guess what happened to me the next day? Hahaha.

Yes, I'm not a fan of salad, or anything raw in fact. So for me, I find the salad a little too pricy. But if you are one of those who are on healthier meal, it's a must try!

I was still a little hungry after, so went to look for cookies!

I'm so in love with this place, the smell of the cookies just melted me. I could stay there the whole day, it just makes me feel good and happy!

My first trip to JEM then.
(So now you know how long this post was >.< )

& a desert at IMM to end off the day!

Maybe my day was affected by something a little that day. I didn't enjoy this bowl (which was recommended by a lot) that much. Maybe it was just my mood that was affecting everything else. I will head back when I have the chance to be fair to them!

A vintage home store and cafe, selling carefully curated furniture, home decor, fresh home-made baked goods and confectionery.

I paid this lovely cafe a visit with my loves some time back.

We went there after lunch, so I only tried the lemon tart. It was refreshing!
I always adore the feeling that cafe brings upon some form of peace and comfort in me. Furthermore, vintage is a die-hard love.

The ambience was so soothing, I wish I could stay longer. As I grow up, I enjoy places that can slow my life down, slow my pace down. Even if it only last for that moment, it is a form of escapism. I felt that I was out of city in that moment. I felt I was in this cozy little dream-like house, filled with love and pacify from within.

A must go place if you have yet to visit this amazing cafe!

Chrysan & I finally figured why the four of could click almost instantly. We are so different yet alike at the same time.
Anyhow, none of us would deny how much we like photography.

Happy 10-11-12 :D

Decided to spend this special date fruitfully - study day!

Headed to Woodlands Regional Library and was surprised to find a couple of seats. Perhaps it's because the O level students have completed their papers. Yay!
Joshua Oh was sleeping like idk what when he was the one who initiated this study session. Tsk.

Shall share what some interesting things I've learnt today:

1. The three faces of Eve: Eve white was the original dominant personality - bland, quiet, and serious. She had knowledge of her second personality, Eve Black - mischievous, uninhibited. Eve black would emerge at the most inappropriate times, leaving Eve White with hangovers, bills, etc.
This is the interesting part. During treatment, a third personality, Jane, emerged - more mature than the other two. She has developed as a result of therapy. But too, others criticized therapy has worsened dissociative identity disorder (DID), creating more identities, alternate identities. Hmm.

2. DID is usually a social construction! Rather than being a single person with many conflicting feelings etc, the individual compartmentalizes different aspects if the self into independent identities. People adopt this to make sense of their experiences.

Okay shall not bore you with these stuff - psychology ~

Went for a TeaBreak after.
I'm supposed to have a healthy meal - given that I've been sleeping at weird timing these days (biological clock is screwed) - like the bowl of fruits, or strawberries!

Butttttttt. I had craving for Chessecake, and so. Oops. Plus Longan Punch!
Plus J gave me snickers after. #guilty.
Thanks for the treat btw! :D

Was struggling if I should go for a jog with J, but it was too late. Maybe tmr morning? See what time I'm in bed tonight I guess! :)
